These are a nice change from an ordinary cookie.
Lavender Cookies
1/4 cup butter; room temperature
1/4 cup honey
1 large egg
1 tablespoon organic lavender buds; finely crushed
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Cream butter and honey. Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on to lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes, being careful not to over brown.
Remove from cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack.
Makes about 14 cookies.
