Tequila and Ginger Marinade

Wanted something a little different last night. This is what we came up with.

Tequila and Ginger Marinade
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon tamari (soy sauce)
1 teaspoon tequila
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ginger; ground

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

This will marinate 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of beef.

  1. I can smell and taste your marinade all the way here in Texas. I have to go see if I have any Tequila...if not, will have to add it to the shopping list since I don't have any Agave in the yard big enough to make my own-ha (don't know how to make it anyway and I like the Agave when it gets big and beautiful - I wouldn't be able to cut it up to make Tequila)

I DO have chicken in the freezer that has the marinades name on it. Thanks for sharing. YUM!

  2. Great recipe! I have also found that a dash of tarragon works well also.

I have also discovered that a quarter cup of tequila marinates me pretty well, too!
